FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How do I know what my child is supposed to wear and bring?

A: Your dancer should wear their costume, pink ballet tights and the correct shoes.  Please do not have your dancer wear underwear beneath their tights or costume. This is typical in dance. It is visible from stage and distracting for people watching the show. If you want an undergarment, we recommend a nude colored leotard that can be purchased on sites such as www.shopnimbly.com/enpointe or or amazon.com. We encourage you to place all costumes in a shoe box size storage box.

Q: Who are the Backstage Helpers?

A: Backstage helpers include Mrs. Yvette,  and some parents who are volunteering to assist in changing the dancer’s costumes from the first act to the second act or between dances.

Q: Do we stay for the entire show?

A: Yes! All dancers perform in the entire show and come out at the end for their bow.

Q: Can I go back stage with my child?

A: Only to drop off your performer before the recital, unless you are volunteering. Only backstage helpers are allowed backstage. If you prefer to be in the dressing room with your dancer during the show, you are allowed to. Please sign up on the volunteer schedule.

Q: When do I give my performer flowers?

A: Flowers are given to the performer after the show. Typically parents hand out after the final 5:00 show.

Q: Can I video tape the recital?

A: No, because it is a distraction to our other families. You may take pictures without a flash for the safety of the performers.

Q: How do I order a DVD?

A: JW Production and Sound produces the DVD's. They can be ordered directly from Jonathan Williams by using the link under DVD.

Q: How do I order tickets?

A: Tickets can be ordered here beginning April 11th, 2026. Seats are assigned. Our studio has grown, so we are accompanying our growth with another show this year. They are all assigned seats.  If you need handicap seating, please let us know.

Q: Can I watch the dress rehearsal on Friday, June 12th?

A: No, unfortunately, observers will not be allowed. You must drop off and pick up your student at their designated dressing room, or you may stay in their dressing room and volunteer.

Q: Can I take pictures at the recital?

A: Yes, you may take pictures, but you may not use a flash. This is for the safety of the performers and the courtesy of others.
